On Friday June 8th, 2018 the local public access channel YCTV / Y-PAC on 124 S. 2nd Street in Yakima taped an interview of two Baha’is, Richard Wilson and Anne Grove.
The name of the show is Yakima Perspectives and the episode is linked here: http://205.172.45.10/CablecastPublicSite/show/8779?channel=1
Richard and Anne were asked to talk about their experiences in Rwanda, and to explain the Baha’i Faith.
In addition they spoke to the concepts of accompaniment, walking shoulder to shoulder, decolonizing methodologies, working with CASA/Guardian ad litum program with the Yakama nation, the significance of Treaty Days and the concept of grassroots development where the needs of the community are determined by the community not by outsiders vs going into a community to rescue, help or change.
The program was very positive, they were embarrassed by the praise that the interviewer laid on them, and quite humbled to have the honor of talking about the Baha’i Faith on television.
