What a joy it was to attend a gathering with such wealth of knowledge.

Friends from many Clusters attended the beautiful home of the Weilers in Lyle, WA. After soul-stirring song and prayer, we were then accompanied to study guidance on tutoring, dive deeply into sections of Book 1 and 7.

The facilitator for the seminar Laurie King from Wenatchee accompanied the group through an exploration of the practices of book 1 and a learning process, one that can be shared in new book 1’s was cultivated by the group

Another aspect of the weekend consisted of a field component focused on gaining experience studying a prayer during a home visit.

During a home visit to a youth, a prayer was shared, explored and pondered. The youth had never studied a prayer in this way and showed much enthusiasm. We were able to converse on spiritual topics about service. This youth, we found out was an animator of a Jr Youth group. After discussing the topic of service projects, one of the elements of the Jr Youth spiritual empowerment program, she shared with us such a beautiful gem. She related to us that two of the Jr Youth, both friends of the Faith, had asked their principal if they could be the morning announcers on the intercom for the week. He gave them permission and they were able to share with their entire school about the dangers of gossips. Posters were put on the walls that week and Teachers wore pins with beautiful quotes.

The friends, at whatever level their experience was able to gain new insights, as well as develop a much deeper love and appreciation for the Institue Process and its community-building power.
